This extremely rare table is in perfect working condition. The sides fold down and lock with ease. The leafs are all here and I have a table protector that adds padding and keeps the heat burns off the table. As you can see I got that a little to late. LOL. Anyways the heat marks you see are not damaging. They can be removed by refinishing the table top. A few scratches on one side and one on one of the drawers has a gouged area. Table and chairs are not as sturdy as the other 2 pieces but dont need work for usage now. I have had and used for 20 yrs. FEDERAL PERIOD MAHOGANY DROP LEAF BREAKFAST TABLE Duncan Phyfe A beautiful ca. 1810-1820 mahogany drop leaf breakfast table. It is of solid mahogany with no veneers. The top is of single board construction as are the leaves. The edges are reeded. Each leaf has two carved supports and three iron hinges. The skirt boards are dovetailed. The turned column is supported by reeded legs sitting on brass paw feet with brass casters. The bottom of the legs and column are strapped with steel and fastened with screws. The drawer has a craved out bottom for grasp. It never had a pull. It has hand cut dovetail joinery with a chamfered bottom. It has cock beading on the front and the secondary wood is oak. Measurements: Top: 24" x 42" with leaves down. 47-1/2" x 42" with leaves opened Height: 30" tall Drawer Front: 18-3/4" x 4-1/2" Condition: ... more The drawer front is missing the cock beading on one side and 1" on the opposite side as you may be able to see in the picture below.
